Museum

Looking for a live music restaurant in Dubai? You’re in the right place. The Museum is a brand-new restaurant and show situated at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Palm Jumeirah.

Whether you’re new to the city or a long-term resident, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Dubai’s entertainment scene, as well as what you can expect when you enjoy a dinner show at The Museum.

Is there a music scene in Dubai?

Absolutely. Dubai is a multicultural city with influences from all over the world, as well as a strong tradition of Arabic values. Add these ingredients together and you have a melting pot of song, dance and live entertainment.

For instance, there are many nightclubs across Dubai playing EDM, rap, hip-hop and other Western music. Here, international DJs often come down to perform. There are also beach clubs and restaurants with DJs on deck to keep the crowd entertained.

Then you have the live music restaurant venues, such as our own, where guests can sit down to order food, sip on a drink and enjoy the performances on stage. The action kicks off at 10 PM and continues until 3 AM, so there’s more than enough time to have a meal amongst friends and family while enjoying the festivities.

Where is the best music scene in Dubai?

This depends on what you’re in the mood for. Here are some popular districts that you’ll want to earmark when you’re visiting:

  1. Downtown Dubai: Downtown is hard to miss. After all, it’s home to the tallest skyscraper in the world – the Burj Khalifa – but it’s also the site of Dubai Mall, where there are many restaurants and entertainment venues to enjoy.
  1. Palm Jumeirah: The man-made Palm Jumeirah island is the location of our iconic live music restaurant. Situated in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, we transport guests to a different time in history: one where artists typically performed in front of dinner guests. Added to the mix, our restaurant makes multiple nods to Ancient Rome, with old-world paintings, sculptures and more.
  1. Sheikh Zayed Road: This major highway is lined with hotels, many of which offer live music venues – including restaurants and nightclubs.

Is The Museum family-friendly?

Yes, of course. We want families to enjoy the live music, dance and jam-packed entertainment. We are also a great place for couples who want to go on a date-night together. Keep an eye on our Instagram page for the various promotions we’re running throughout the year, and let us know what you thought of your experience by sending us a DM or leaving a comment on one of our posts.

Is a dinner show worth it?

A trip to Dubai is not complete without visiting a live music restaurant. You can expect hours of entertainment alongside world-class service and delicious food. In particular, The Museum is notable for its old-world aesthetic and the nods to ancient history. In setting up the restaurant, we settled on decor that would conjure up images of the great Roman civilisations of centuries past. But there are also contemporary touches, and The Museum aims to marry old-world glamor with modern day entertainment.

Is alcohol served in restaurants in Dubai?

Yes, alcohol is allowed to be served by licensed providers and consumed on the premises. The legal drinking age in Dubai is 21, and ID may be required.

We have an ample selection of spirits, wines and cocktails on the menu. Choose from quality whiskeys, tequilas, gin and tonics, vodka and more. We also serve champagne and classic cocktails like the Espresso Martini and Cosmopolitan.
